About Me
I am a SEN specialist teacher for neurodiverse individuals and a consultant. I assess for dyslexia and dyscalculia holding current qualifications with the BDA for dyscalculia AMBDA 22/AMD08010 and Dyslexia with The Dyslexia Guild Certificate No 1222/104. I am also qualified to carry out Assistive Technology Assessments and carry out training. I run INSET for schools as well as surgeries for teachers and parents. I do a lot of consulting for individuals who struggle to remain in full time education. I run the Leicestershire Helpline for dyslexia and dyscalculia with expertise also in co-occurring conditions such as ASD (including Pathological Demand Avoidance PDA), ADHD, and DCD. I worked as a SENDCo for many years as part of senior management and continue to work with parents.
I have run a loan system for borrowing of specialist assistive technology equipment for students and teachers to trial in schools.
