About Yorkshire Rose Dyslexia

We are a voluntary group consisting mainly of parents of dyslexic children and some teachers. We came together to share our experiences and try to help other families.

About Us

The association was formed in 1987 as the Leeds Dyslexia Association which later became Leeds and Bradford Dyslexia Association (LABDA) and in 2017 changed again to Yorkshire Rose Dyslexia.

We work closely with the British Dyslexia Association (BDA) which has members in different parts of the country.

We meet with the Local Authority SEND team and keep up to date with what they offer to schools. We also have contacts of the SENDIASS services who offer independent advice to parents.
