About Me

I am a specialist dyslexia tutor and assessor supporting children and young people with literacy difficulties across primary and secondary age ranges. I hold a Level 7 qualification in teaching and assessing specific learning difficulties and carry out diagnostic assessments in line with current SASC guidance. Alongside assessment work, I provide structured, cumulative and multisensory literacy tuition tailored to individual learner profiles.

My practice focuses on using assessment to inform targeted intervention, with particular attention to reading accuracy and fluency, spelling development, written expression, and working memory. I adopt a strengths-based approach, aiming to build confidence and independence while developing effective learning strategies. I work collaboratively with families and schools to ensure that recommendations are practical, achievable and consistently implemented.

I am interested in evidence-based practice, assessment interpretation, and translating diagnostic findings into effective teaching programmes. I value opportunities to share resources, discuss best practice, and learn from other professionals in the field.
